Established in 2009, Phambili Recycling has successfully been diverting waste plastics from landfill. Phambili’s service areas included Johannesburg Central Business District, Eastgate, Betrams, Hillbrow, Yeoville, Berea, Parktown, Orange Grove and surrounding areas. The benefits of Phambili Recycling’s activities include cleaning-up the service areas and a new employment opportunity for the youth. Phambili creates income opportunities for the community through education and training, employment and plastic waste recycling. Waste pickers are the primarily beneficiary of Phambili Recycling project because Phambili is their one stop centre where all their recyclable plastic waste materials are bought at a market related price. Our plastic waste and recycling management solutions encompass a diverse range of services from collection, handling, and processing at a level sufficient to guarantee continuity of the business.
